Display Your Profile Picture In Google Search Results

Now, it is becoming common that you see profile pics of the authors of an article on the search results. Have you wondered whether your profile pictures appear on the search results? If not, lets try them today to make it appear easily on the search results by tweaking certain things on your Blogger. Google is slowly displaying the pictures of the authors/publishers on the search results. For Blogspot domains, lets see how to achieve that if you still don't have your profile picture on search results.

Step 1 - Create a Google Plus profile (if you do not have one already)

The photograph comes from Google plus profile. So the first step is to create a google plus profile if you do not have one already. If you already have one, then make sure that you have uploaded a profile picture that you would like to see in the search results.

Step 2 - Link your Blogger profile to Google Plus profile

The next step is to connect your Google Plus Profile with Blogger profile. To link your blogger profile with your Google Plus profile go to this page. Now scroll down and accept their terms and conditions by ticking on the check box. Hit the Switch Now button and your Blogger profile will be linked with your Google Plus profile. Also don't forget to add your blog in your Google Plus profile. Add your blog to "Contributor to" section of Google Plus profile.

Step 3 - Upload a nice profile picture of yourself on to the Google Plus account. Try adding a square image of yourself or else try to crop it to make it square while uploading.

Step 4 - Login to you Blogger dashboard and navigate to Template > Edit HTML and check on "Expand Widget Templates". Search for the code

Testing your settings
Go to Rich Snippets page and enter your blog URL and hit preview.
You will see something like this on your rich snippets tool.

All the lines in Green color indicates that your Authorship and Publisher markup has been verified.
Now allow 48 hours or more for Google web-crawlers to crawl your pages again, so that the your profile pic. start appearing.It can also take even more than 48 hours sometimes.
